From Japan to Egypt-the start of a new adventure

Hello everyone!

I'm starting another blog. For my family members who followed my blog when I was in Japan, you'll know that I am not the best at keeping track of my blog (I think I managed to update my blog for 3 months out of the 5 years I was in Japan). But I promise that I'll try to do better while in Egypt.

Now that I have been in Egypt for exactly 2 weeks, things are starting to become normal to me. Crossing the street isn't as daunting as it once was (though it still reminds me of a game of Frogger) and I'm slowly becoming used to the smog and dust that covers the city.

Another thing that I have to get used to is the quality of wifi here. Even in my own apartment, it is pretty spotty. And at school it is even worse (though will hopefully improve once we move to the new campus and get wifi again). So if it takes me a while to post, that could be the reason. Or I'm just having too much fun.

Below are 4 pictures from my first two weeks in Egypt. Enjoy these for now, and I'll post pictures of the food, my apartment, etc. over the next couple of days!

View of a mosque on the way from the airport to the hotel.

First viewing of the Nile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First pyramid sighting! This coming week, I'm going to get up close and personal with them!

The first Friday in Egypt, we went for a felucca ride on the Nile at sunset. It was beautiful, but I really want to take an actual cruise down the Nile soon!
